Maricopa County Animal Care

Yesterday I had the priviledge of going to a local Animal shelter and taking pictures of the dogs that are up for adoption. It is so sad to see all those big dogs stuck in little tiny pens with nobody to love or care for them. The people that work there all have a great love for these animals and it shows in the care they provide. Here are a couple pictures of the sweet dogs that I had the pleasure of meeting. I hope to be able to go back often to do what I can to help out. I only wish that I could bring them all home with me. London's Run 2010

As many of you are aware, I am a survivor of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I was diagnosed as a young child and given about a 20% chance of survival. I have tried to do a little something over the years to give back and this year, there is London's Run. It is a fundraising benefit in honor of a little girl named London who lost her battle with AML a few years ago.

I will be attending the run, taking pictures at the event and also donating a family session package for the raffle. It should be a great event and I am really looking forward to attending. If you are interested in signing up, go to http://www.londonsrun.org/ for more details!

We met this cutie patootie through soccer a couple years ago and were lucky enough to get him in our daughter's Kindergarten class this year. I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family at my daughter's school. She is a teacher there and happens to teach one of my best friend's sons. After rescheduling for weather, we lucked out and had the perfect day to shoot. It was a great location and a fabulous family. My OWN Family Pictures 2009

I am SO happy to say that I finally got some wall-worthy pictures of my own family this year! This is a feat considering I am not "behind" the camera and my kids are so used to the camera, they could puke! But, I am very excited with the results and will have a new wall of pictures in my living room this year! WOO HOO!
